She meets up with a friend in town and they run into a boy who promises them weed if they’ll accompany him back to his motel room (Hmm, sounds fishy to me). Of course he doesn’t mention the three people he’s rooming with are sadistic murderers who eventually torture Mari and leave her for dead in a river.
